Pat Tea Party

Congressman Pat Tiberi should consider changing his name to Pat Tea Party.  It is obvious the Congressman from the 12th District is concerned that he may not be able to hold on to his office.  From what we have seen of his poor performance and lack of leadership, the Congressman should be very concerned.  Now he has aligned himself squarely with the radical right wing Tea Partiers, falsely believing that they are going to influence some election somewhere.  Let’s hope he continues down that road.  The Libertarian/Tea Party candidates performed abysmally in the recent May 4th primary.

Pat Tiberi from the day he went to Washington has been an impediment to working families.  Not one time has he considered the needs of those who work for a living.  Case in point; the stimulus program instituted by the Obama administration, better known as the Economic Recovery Act, is without question turning our economy around.  Much needed infra-structure projects are underway, the banking industry is becoming solvent again and the auto industry is showing signs of life.  Granted we all would like to see a quicker recovery, but most economists tell us that a slow recovery is a sustained recovery in the end.  Congressman Tiberi fought the Obama plan from the beginning, arguing it would never work.  But that didn’t stop Tiberi from sticking his hand out for his own pet projects in the 12th District and crowing about how he is getting things done in a hostile environment in Washington.  Talk abut playing both ends to the middle, that’s our boy Pat.

Pat Tea Party would have trouble spelling “fiscal responsibility”, now he wants us to believe he is fiscally responsible. Those who are fiscally responsible aren’t pursuing support from the right wing tea baggers who haven’t a clue.  Think about it. Somehow taxes are going to magically be reduced to nothing, and we are going to become a safer, more productive economy because of it.  Not hardly. School Districts are in financial crisis. Government, at all levels is struggling to meet budgets. Much needed services such as police and fire protection are being cut back and in some cases ceasing all together.  What is Tiberi’s concern?  Playing politics with the tea party fools.  Further evidence that the Republican Party in Ohio is adrift in a sea of “no ideas”.  This November we absolutely must make a change in our legislative delegation.  We have a much better candidate in Paula Brooks for the 12th District and I urge all of the voters in that district to make this change, because another term of Pat Tea Party is not a vote for working families.
